I Fell Twice Trying To Reach The Toilet

I repeatedly shouted for my night carer because I needed help to use the toilet. After approximately 28 minutes without receiving help, I decided I had no choice but to try to reach my wheelchair by myself.

I threw myself from the bed and landed on the floor. I then slid across the floor towards my wheelchair, returned to the bed and attempted to climb into it. During one attempt, my leg became trapped and I fell again.

I remained determined and tried once more. On my next attempt, I successfully transferred into my wheelchair. I went to the toilet and then went to find and wake the carer.
