Help Me Live My Life Again—Not Spend My Life Sitting Here Waiting to Die
I do not want to merely exist. I want the freedom to make my own choices, choose who supports me, and live my life with dignity, purpose and happiness.
This is the problem with agency care: too often, agencies follow rules and tick boxes without using common sense or listening to the person receiving the care. Care should help people live—not restrict their lives.

Why I Am Fighting
I am fighting because an injustice took away my freedom. I was falsely accused and never given a fair opportunity to tell my side of the story. All my carers were dismissed and instructed not to speak to me.
I am fighting to get my life back—to regain my freedom, choice and control. Right now, I feel like I am just sitting here waiting to die. I don’t want to wait—I want to live my life and do as much as I can, for as long as I can.
Once I achieve my freedom, I want to help others who feel as though they are also just waiting to die. I want to help them regain hope, choice and a reason to live fully.
I believe dreams can come true, and I will not give up on mine.

Care Should Be About Living. Not Just Existing
Second Life Agency
I am a real care user, and I know that agency care can last for many years. I do not want other clients to experience what I have experienced.
Clients generate a lot of money for care agencies—but how much of that money goes back into improving their lives?
Too many agencies want clients to sit at home, take no reasonable risks and simply exist to make the agency money. That is not living.
I understand how clients should be treated because I live with care every day. Care should help people go out, enjoy new experiences, make their own choices and live as fully as possible.
The Second Life Agency will put clients first. Some of the money generated through their care will be invested back into activities, opportunities and experiences that improve their lives.
